Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Manager🏢 Location: Ahmedabad💰 Salary: ₹6 – ₹7 LPA🧾 Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing of Raw Materials (RM) and Packing Materials (PM). The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, and inventory coordination to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations.

  • ⚙️ Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement of raw materials and packaging materials as per production plans
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost efficiency
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays
  • Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, R&D, and Stores teams
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points
  • Ensure proper storage practices (FIFO/FEFO) and material traceability
  • Handle procurement documentation including PO, GRN, invoices
  • Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and alternate sourcing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and company standards
  • Prepare reports on procurement status, inventory, and cost savings
  • 🎯 Required Skills & Experience4–5 years of experience in procurement / purchase / stores management
  • Industry experience in FMCG / Pharma / Cosmetics / Manufacturing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of RM & PM procurement
  • Expertise in vendor negotiation & contract management
  • Knowledge of inventory management & warehouse operations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel & ERP systems
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • 🎓 QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Commerce / Engineering
  • MBA in Supply Chain (preferred)
  • 🕒 Working DetailsWorking Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday
  • (Either 1st or 3rd Saturday off)
