Job Description
retail showroom sales manager drives revenue and profitability by overseeing daily floor operations, leading the sales team, and ensuring a premium customer experience. They are responsible for managing inventory, optimizing visual merchandising, and coaching staff to meet or exceed regional sales targets. [1, 2, 3]
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Set, monitor, and achieve daily, monthly, and annual store sales targets.
- Personally manage high-value transactions, complex negotiations, and key client relationships.
- Analyze sales data and customer buying trends to develop strategic floor promotions and discounting strategies. [1, 2, 3]
2. Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, onboard, and train retail sales associates on product knowledge, objection handling, and customer service standards.
- Conduct daily or weekly team briefings, set individual performance goals, and provide ongoing coaching.
- Manage employee scheduling, shift assignments, and performance evaluations. [1, 2, 3, 4]
3. Customer Experience & Floor Management
- Ensure the showroom floor is clean, properly organized, and adheres to company visual merchandising standards.
- Greet customers, address escalated complaints, and ensure high levels of post-purchase satisfaction. [1, 2, 3, 4]
4. Inventory & Operations
- Oversee stock levels, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with the warehouse or suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Ensure accuracy of billing, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and pricing updates.
- Enforce store security measures, loss prevention protocols, and health and safety regulations. [1, 2, 3]
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-7 years of proven track record in retail sales or store management, ideally in a similar product sector.
- Hard Skills: Proficiency with POS systems, ERP software, and CRM tools. Strong financial and mathematical acumen for budgeting and data analysis.
