Site Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Management:

• Develop and review project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee site preparation and set up, including surveying and layout.

Construction Oversight:

• Supervise and manage on-site construction activities.
• Ensure that construction work adheres to engineering plans, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address project-related issues and concerns.
• Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and other project documentation.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies related to construction methods, materials, or equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team.

Cost and Resource Management:

• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-efficiency.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of site activities, changes, and inspections.
• Prepare detailed reports on project progress, incidents, and any deviations from the plan.
• Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3+years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site management and construction is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Environment: Primarily field-based with occasional office work.
• Travel: May require travel to various construction sites.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in varying weather conditions and navigate construction sites.
