Job Description
Role OverviewA VMC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Vertical Machining Center machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate VMC/CNC machines for production work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and clamping
- Input CNC programs or make minor edits (G-code knowledge preferred)
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine inspections using measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain required tolerances and surface finish standards
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major problems
- Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
