Position SummaryThe VMC Machine Operator will be responsible for operating Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for the production of orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments. The role requires adherence to strict quality standards, production targets, and regulatory requirements applicable to medical device manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines for machining.
• Perform machine setup, fixture loading, and tool installation as per production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
• Monitor machining operations and make tool offset corrections when required.
• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Thread Gauges.
• Ensure components meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Maintain production records and machine operation logs.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
• Report machine breakdowns, tool wear, and quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow ISO 13485, GMP, and company quality procedures.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and implement 5S practices.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• ITI Machinist / Turner / CNC Operator or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience operating VMC machines.
• Experience in precision component manufacturing is preferred.
