Job Description
Job Summary
The Tandoor Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking tandoor-based dishes such as naan, roti, kebabs, tikka, and other grilled items while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook tandoor dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently.
- Marinate meats, seafood, and vegetables for tandoor cooking.
- Prepare dough and bake breads such as naan, kulcha, and tandoori roti.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and food quality.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tandoor section.
- Assist in stock control and report ingredient shortages.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
