English Teacher

Position: English Faculty (Grades 7–10)

Location: Unacademy Centre, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Faculty to teach students of Grades 7–10. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong command over English grammar and literature, and the ability to make learning engaging and interactive while building students' confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.

• Key ResponsibilitiesTeach English Language and Literature to students of Grades 7–10 as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Develop students' grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Plan and deliver engaging, concept-based classroom sessions using innovative teaching methodologies.
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
• Conduct regular class tests, evaluate answer sheets, and provide timely feedback.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support through doubt-solving sessions.
• Encourage students to participate in debates, speeches, presentations, creative writing, and other language activities.
• Monitor students' academic progress and communicate with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
• Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the Academic Head and fellow faculty members to enhance academic quality.
• Support academic events, workshops, seminars, and admission-related activities whenever required.
• EligibilityBachelor's or Master's degree in English or a related field.
• B.Ed. is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience for Grades 7–10.
• Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and communication skills may also apply.
• Required SkillsExcellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, and writing skills.
• Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.
• Ability to simplify concepts and motivate students.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using Smart Boards, PowerPoint, and other digital teaching tools.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching CBSE or State Board curriculum.
• Experience in coaching institutes or Foundation programmes.
• Ability to prepare students for Olympiads, scholarship exams, and competitive English assessments.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Student attendance and classroom engagement.
