Cashier

We are looking for a Cashier to join our team Nidharshana Sarees to manage day-to-day billing operations and customer transactions at the counter. • Follow safety and cleanliness guidelines at the counter

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is 10th Pass and 1 - 5 years of experience. Good calculation skills, basic computer knowledge and strong communication abilities are essential for this role.

Core responsibilities

• Process transactions: Scan items, calculate totals, and process payments using cash, credit cards, or other methods.
• Handle payments and change: Accurately provide customers with their change and issue receipts.
• Manage returns and exchanges: Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Provide customer service: Greet customers, answer their questions, and resolve complaints or concerns.
• Operate equipment: Use cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale (POS) equipment. 

Additional duties

• Maintain checkout area: Keep the checkout area clean, tidy, and organized.
• Balance the till: Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of a shift to ensure accuracy.
• Promote sales: Inform customers about promotions, cross-sell products, and promote loyalty programs.
• Assist with other tasks: Help with stocking, bagging purchases, or other store duties as needed.
• Report issues: Report any discrepancies or problems with equipment to a manager.
