CCTV Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Wiring Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cabling, configuring cameras, and ensuring reliable system performance in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Install, route, and terminate CCTV cables (coaxial, UTP/CAT5/CAT6, fiber as required)

Mount and position CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, and related equipment

Test, troubleshoot, and repair wiring faults and connectivity issues

Ensure proper labeling, grounding, and cable management

Configure basic camera settings and verify image quality

Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades

Follow wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and installation standards

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures

Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients during installations

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition

Document installation details and report technical issues

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or technical certification in electronics, networking, or a related field

Proven experience as a CCTV Wiring Technician or similar role

Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, cabling standards, and connectors

Ability to use testing tools (multimeter, cable tester, crimping tools)

Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, PoE)

Ability to read technical drawings and wiring schematics

Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or confined spaces

Good problem-solving and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IP-based CCTV systems

Knowledge of access control or alarm systems

Valid driver’s license

Certification in CCTV or low-voltage systems
