Job Description: Chartered Accountant (Manager - Finance & Accounts)

Team Size: 5 Members

Role Objective

To lead the financial operations of the company by ensuring 100% statutory compliance, optimizing working capital through proactive banking relationships, and maintaining rigorous cost controls over manufacturing overheads and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Taxation & Compliance (Direct & Indirect)

GST & Income Tax: Lead the end-to-end filing of GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C) and Income Tax returns. Ensure timely payment of TDS/TCS and reconciliation with 26AS/AIS.

Assessments & Litigation: Represent the company before tax authorities. Prepare submissions for assessments, appeals, and audits. Stay updated on latest notifications to mitigate tax risks.

Statutory Audit: Coordinate with external auditors for the finalization of balance sheets and P&L statements.

2. Strategic Banking & Treasury

Fund Management: Manage and optimize Working Capital limits, including Cash Credit (CC), Letter of Credit (LC), and Bank Guarantees (BG).

Liaisoning: Act as the primary point of contact for Bank RMs. Prepare and submit CMA data (Credit Monitoring Arrangement) for timely renewal and enhancement of limits.

Term Loans: Manage documentation and compliance for term loans, ensuring timely interest servicing and repayment.

3. Manufacturing Accounts & Costing

Inventory Valuation: Implement robust systems for stock audits and valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished steel products.

Overheads & Costing: Analyze factory overheads and variance reports. Provide insights into cost-saving opportunities in the production process.

Cost Audit: Ensure readiness for Cost Audits and maintain records as per manufacturing industry standards.

4. Leadership & Systems

Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 5 accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day bookkeeping in Tally.

Process Modernization: Review existing accounting workflows and implement "best-in-class" digital practices to improve data integrity and reporting speed.

MIS Reporting: Provide the Director with monthly MIS reports, including cash flow projections, profitability analysis, and aging reports (Receivables/Payables).

Candidate Profile

Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

Experience: 7–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the Steel, Manufacturing, or Infrastructure sectors.

Tech Skills: Advanced proficiency in Tally and MS Excel.
