Interior Designer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a creative, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Interior Designer to design functional and aesthetically exceptional residential interiors. You will work closely with homeowners to understand their lifestyle, preferences, and budget while transforming their vision into practical and elegant living spaces.

The ideal candidate should possess strong design sensibilities, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with the sales, production, and execution teams to ensure every project is delivered to the highest standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesClient Consultation & Space PlanningMeet clients to understand their lifestyle, functional requirements, design preferences, and budget.
• Conduct site visits and verify measurements where required.
• Develop innovative space planning solutions that maximize functionality and aesthetics.
• Present design concepts and guide clients through the design journey.
• Design DevelopmentPrepare concept layouts, furniture plans, electrical layouts, ceiling plans, and detailed working drawings.
• Create high-quality 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
• Recommend materials, finishes, laminates, veneers, hardware, lighting, and décor elements.
• Ensure all designs align with Maywood's quality standards and project budgets.
• Client PresentationsPresent design proposals confidently and professionally.
• Explain design concepts, material selections, and pricing clearly.
• Incorporate client feedback while maintaining design integrity and project feasibility.
• Support the sales team during design presentations to improve conversion rates.
• Project CoordinationWork closely with the production, procurement, and site execution teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Resolve technical design issues during manufacturing and installation.
• Conduct site visits when required to ensure designs are executed as intended.
• Coordinate with vendors for customized design requirements.
• Documentation & QualityPrepare detailed BOQs, material specifications, and production drawings.
• Ensure design documentation is complete and accurate before production.
• Minimize design revisions through careful planning and attention to detail.
• Maintain organized project documentation and design records.
• Qualifications & ExperienceRequiredBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in residential interior design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing modular and customized residential interior projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar design software.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• PreferredExperience in modular kitchen, wardrobe, and full-home interior design.
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes.
• Experience working with premium interior brands.
• Familiarity with BOQ preparation and production drawings.
