JOB DESCRIPTION – OPERATION THEATRE (OT) TECHNICIAN

Department - Operation Theatre

Reporting To- OT In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent / Medical Superintendent

Employment Type- Full-Time

Salary- Up to ₹35,000 per month

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing and maintaining the OT, assisting surgeons and nursing staff, ensuring sterile instruments, equipment readiness, infection control, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare OT before surgeries

• Sterilize and arrange instruments

• Assist surgical team

• Check OT equipment

• Maintain infection control

• Inventory management

• Documentation

• Biomedical waste handling

• Assist emergency surgeries

• Follow NABH protocols

Qualification:

Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT/B.Sc. OTT)

Experience:

0–5 years; freshers may apply

Skills:

Knowledge of OT procedures, sterilization, anesthesia equipment, teamwork, communication, BLS preferred.

Working Hours:

Rotational shifts (8–12 hours) as per hospital policy.
