Job Description: Site Incharge / Supervisor Cum Agronomist
Job Summary
The Site Incharge Cum Agronomist will oversee daily farm operations, manage on-site labor, and implement scientific agronomic practices to maximize crop yield, quality, and sustainability. This role serves as the bridge between technical agricultural science and practical field execution, ensuring the site operates efficiently, on budget, and in alignment with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Agronomic Management & Crop Health
Crop Monitoring: Regularly inspect crops for signs of diseases, pests, nutrient deficiencies, or weed infestations.
Soil & Water Management: Conduct soil and water testing; develop and execute precise fertilization, fertigation, and irrigation schedules.
Yield Optimization: Implement modern agronomic practices to improve crop quality and maximize yield.
Data Logging: Maintain accurate records of crop cycles, chemical applications, weather data, and harvest yields to guide future planning.
2. Site Administration & Supervision
Labor Management: Supervise, train, and schedule daily activities for farm laborers and operators. Ensure high productivity and fair work distribution.
Inventory Control: Manage on-site inventory, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, and machinery. Prevent shortages and minimize waste.
Machinery & Infrastructure: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of farm equipment, irrigation systems, greenhouses, and site infrastructure.
Security & Compliance: Ensure the security of the site assets and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
3. Planning & Reporting
Activity Scheduling: Develop weekly and monthly operational plans (planting, spraying, harvesting) in coordination with management.
Budgeting: Assist in preparing operational budgets and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.
Reporting: Provide regular updates, progress reports, and incident logs to senior management or corporate headquarters.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a closely related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in farm management, site supervision, or crop production.
Language: Fluency in the local language (essential for communicating with labor) and working knowledge of English (for reporting
