Job Title: Associate Manager / Manager of Supply Chain & Logistics

Role Overview

​The Associate Manager / Manager of Supply Chain & Logistics is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing the company’s end-to-end supply chain and warehouse operations. This role bridges strategic planning with tactical execution—balancing demand forecasting, global procurement, and vendor strategy with day-to-day warehouse operations, inventory control, and fleet distribution. The primary objective is to maximize operational efficiency, minimize lead times, and lower total landed costs while ensuring safety, high inventory accuracy, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

​1. Supply Chain Strategy & Demand Planning

• ​S&OP Leadership: Drive the cross-functional monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across Sales, Finance, Production, and Procurement to align market demand with supply capability.
• ​Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market intelligence, and predictive planning tools to build accurate forecasts and establish optimal safety stock parameters.
• ​Inventory & Working Capital: Balance overall inventory health to guarantee product availability while minimizing carrying costs, managing product obsolescence, and reducing excess working capital.

​2. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

• ​Procurement Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and domestic suppliers; negotiate favorable service-level agreements (SLAs), pricing, and lead times.
• ​Risk Mitigation: Implement dual-sourcing and risk-mitigation strategies to safeguard the supply chain against geopolitical, economic, or logistical disruptions.

​3. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

• ​Daily Warehouse Management: Oversee day-to-day warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, sorting, and dispatching.
• ​Spatial Layout Optimization: Design and optimize warehouse layouts and storage systems to maximize spatial utilization and reduce handling costs.
• ​Inventory Accuracy: Enforce rigorous inventory control protocols using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); direct regular physical cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

​4. Logistics, Fleet & Freight Management

• ​Network Design & Optimization: Oversee global and domestic trade compliance, import-export documentation, and routing efficiency.
• ​Carrier Management: Coordinate and negotiate rates with external freight forwarders, 3PL/4PL providers, customs brokers, couriers, and internal transport fleets to ensure on-time delivery.

​5. Team Leadership & Performance Management

• ​Staff Management: Direct, train, and mentor warehouse staff, logistics coordinators, dispatch riders, and equipment operators.
• ​Operational Metrics: Track, analyze, and present key performance metrics (e.g., order fulfillment cycle time, transport costs, space utilization, delivery SLA compliance) to executive leadership to drive continuous process improvements.

​6. Safety, Compliance & Automation

• ​Safety Protocols: Enforce strict health and safety protocols (OSHA/HSE standards) and ensure full compliance with legal regulations, hazardous materials handling, and facility security policies.
• ​Technology Adoption: Drive the adoption, integration, and enhancement of digital supply chain tools, ERP modules, WMS systems, and automated tracking platforms.

​Required Qualifications & Core Skills

​Education & Experience

• ​Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain is strongly preferred.
• ​Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/management capacity.

​Technical Skills

• ​ERP & Software: Deep expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., SAP MM/IBP, Oracle SCM, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally Prime) and advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• ​Analytics & Data: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; hands-on experience with Data Visualisation / BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
