JOB DESCRIPTION — Tally Accountant

Location: Sarjapur, Bangalore Function: Accounts & Finance

Employment Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Languages: English, Hindi, Kannada

Software: Tally (Mandatory), Excel

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support our day-to-day tally operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Tally, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, and capable of managing accounts accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments

• Process vendor invoices, track payables, and follow up on receivables

• Assist in preparation of GST returns, TDS workings, and other statutory compliance filings

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely ledger reconciliations

• Support monthly and annual closing activities including trial balance and P&L preparation

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions

• Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve billing queries

• Assist the senior accounts team with audits, MIS reports, and ad hoc financial analysis

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in an accounts or finance role

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime is mandatory — this is non-negotiable

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com or CA Inter preferred

• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic Indian accounting standards

• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada — must be comfortable communicating in all three

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines

• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer skills

• Prior experience in a trading, retail, or e-commerce company is an added advantage.
