Water Treatment Chemist

Looking for Wastewater Treatment Plant Chemist is responsible for analyzing water samples and managing chemical processes to ensure treated wastewater meets environmental safety standards. They test for key parameters like pH, COD, and BOD, adjust chemical dosing, and maintain strict regulatory compliance with pollution control boards.

Key Responsibilities

• Water Quality Testing: Conduct routine and advanced laboratory tests (e.g., pH, BOD, COD, TDS, and heavy metals) on raw influent, treated effluent, and sludge.
• Process Optimization: Calculate and adjust chemical dosages (like coagulants, polymers, and disinfectants) to optimize the treatment process.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all discharge parameters meet local and national pollution control board limits.
• Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers and pH/TDS meters.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logbooks and prepare detailed reports for facility management and environmental agencies

Water Treatment Plant (WTP) / RO Operator: Focuses on running Reverse Osmosis systems, Demineralization (DM) plants, and softener plants.

STP/ETP Operator: Manages Sewage Treatment Plants (domestic waste) and Effluent Treatment Plants (industrial waste), including chemical dosing, filter cleaning, and sludge management.

Utility Technician: Operates and maintains the broader utility systems, often handling both water treatment and machinery like air compressors, chillers, and boilers.
