AC Technician

The AC Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and energy efficiency. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and providing reliable solutions at customer or site locations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, service, and repair split, window, cassette, ductable, and packaged AC systems
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive servicing
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults
• Check refrigerant levels and safely handle refrigerants
• Repair or replace compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, PCB boards, and controls
• Conduct leak testing, vacuuming, and gas charging
• Read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Ensure proper functioning after service and explain usage to customers
• Maintain service records and job reports
• Follow safety standards and company procedures
• Required Skills & QualificationsITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
• 1–5 years of experience in AC installation and servicing (as applicable)
• Good knowledge of refrigeration cycle and electrical controls
• Ability to use tools and testing instruments (multimeter, gauge set, vacuum pump)
• Basic communication and customer-handling skills
• Willingness to work on-site and at heights
• Preferred SkillsExperience with commercial HVAC systems
• Knowledge of VRF/VRV systems
• Valid driving license
• Basic PLC or controller knowledge (for industrial/commercial setups)
• Working ConditionsField-based work
• May require overtime or emergency service calls
• Exposure to electrical equipment and outdoor conditions
