Job Description
A VRV/VRF AC Technician installs, commissions, services, and troubleshoots advanced Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV/VRF) systems, handling copper piping, brazing, gas charging, and electronic controls. They perform preventive maintenance on indoor/outdoor units to ensure high efficiency and provide technical, on-site support for commercial and residential clients. [1, 2, 3]
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Install VRV/VRF indoor/outdoor units, perform brazing, copper piping, pressure testing, and vacuuming, and complete startup/commissioning.
- Service & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, filter changes, refrigerant checks) on VRV/VRF systems to prevent breakdown.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex electrical/mechanical faults, including communication failures, compressor issues, and refrigerant leaks.
- Technical Compliance: Read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals to ensure installations comply with safety standards.
- Reporting: Document service reports, maintenance records, and client feedback. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
