Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Execution

Prepare and execute dishes as per standard recipes and SOPs

Assist in mise en place for daily kitchen operations

Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning

Support service during breakfast, brunch, lunch, and café rush hours

Work across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, sandwich, salad, pasta, grill, and plating sections as required

Kitchen Operations

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times

Follow FIFO, storage, and food safety procedures

Minimize wastage and maintain ingredient handling standards

Coordinate with senior chefs during service for smooth kitchen flow

Maintain workstation discipline during high-volume operations

Role Breakdown

Commis 1

Experience:

3–5 years preferred in cafés, continental restaurants, or modern European kitchens

Expectations:

Independently handle sections during service

Strong understanding of sauces, grills, pasta, breakfast plates, and plating aesthetics

Ability to train junior staff and maintain section readiness

Good speed, communication, and operational discipline

Commis 2

Experience:

2–4 years preferred

Expectations:

Good understanding of continental café operations

Ability to assist section heads during prep and live service

Knowledge of basic sauces, sandwiches, salads, and hot kitchen operations

Ability to work efficiently under supervision

Commis 3

Experience:

0–2 years / freshers with culinary training may apply

Expectations:

Assist senior kitchen staff in prep and cleaning tasks

Learn station operations and kitchen systems

Maintain hygiene, discipline, and punctuality

Strong willingness to learn and grow within the organization

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in cafés, bistros, European restaurants, or premium QSRs preferred

Positive attitude and ability to work in fast-paced environments

Basic understanding of continental cuisine and kitchen terminology

Team player with attention to detail

Culinary school background is a plus
