Equity Dealer – Job DescriptionCompany: Emerzent Wealth Management Pvt Ltd

Position: Equity Dealer

Location: Bangalore

Department: Broking / Dealing Desk / Wealth Management

Reporting To: Branch Manager / Business Head

Job PurposeWe are looking for a responsible and market-focused Equity Dealer to execute client trades, provide market updates, support advisory teams, and ensure smooth dealing operations with proper compliance and client service.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesTrade ExecutionExecute client orders in equity, derivatives, commodities, currency, or other approved segments as per company policy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order punching.
  • Confirm executed trades with clients and maintain proper records.
  • Avoid unauthorized trading and strictly follow client instructions.
  • Market MonitoringTrack market movements, indices, sectors, stocks, news, and events.
  • Share timely market updates with clients and internal teams.
  • Identify trading opportunities based on technical levels and market trends.
  • Monitor open positions, stop-loss levels, and margin requirements.
  • Client ServicingHandle client queries related to trades, margins, positions, holdings, ledger, and contract notes.
  • Maintain regular communication with active trading clients.
  • Support clients in using trading platforms and understanding market updates.
  • Build strong client relationships through disciplined follow-up.
  • Risk & ComplianceEnsure all trades are executed only after client confirmation.
  • Follow RMS, margin, exposure, and compliance guidelines.
  • Monitor client positions and inform clients about margin shortfalls or risk alerts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
  • Follow exchange, broker, and company compliance requirements.
  • Revenue SupportSupport brokerage generation through active client engagement.
  • Reactivate inactive trading clients.
  • Coordinate with wealth managers for cross-selling opportunities.
  • Help increase trading volume while maintaining risk discipline.
  • ReportingMaintain daily dealing records and client interaction updates.
  • Submit daily trading activity reports to management.
  • Report any client complaints, trade disputes, or risk issues immediately.
  • Update lead/client status in CRM or Google Sheet as required.
  • Required SkillsGood knowledge of stock market, equity, derivatives, and trading platforms.
  • Strong understanding of technical levels, stop-loss, targets, and risk management.
  • Fast and accurate order execution skills.
  • Good communication and client handling ability.
  • Ability to work under market pressure.
  • Disciplined, alert, and compliance-focused attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets / CRM.
  • QualificationGraduate in any discipline.
  • NISM certification preferred/mandatory as per regulatory requirement.
  • Experience in stock broking, equity dealing, derivatives dealing, or trading desk preferred.

Experience1 to 5 years in equity dealing, stock broking, trading desk, or capital market operations.

  • Key Performance IndicatorsAccuracy of trade execution.
  • Brokerage/revenue generation.
  • Number of active clients handled.
  • Client retention and service quality.
  • Compliance with trading and RMS guidelines.
  • Timely reporting and daily activity updates.

Desired Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should be alert, disciplined, market-oriented, and capable of handling clients during live market hours. The candidate must be responsible, compliance-focused, and able to support revenue generation without compromising risk management.
