Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandising & Product CoordinationCoordinate with buyers, vendors, factories, and internal departments
• Handle complete product lifecycle from sampling to final production
• Follow up on fabrics, trims, approvals, and production timelines
• Maintain style-wise and order-wise tracking sheets
• Ensure timely execution of orders as per buyer requirements
• Sampling ManagementCoordinate sample development and approvals
• Manage proto samples, fit samples, PP samples, and production samples
• Follow up with sampling team to ensure quality and timelines are maintained
• Maintain sample records and buyer comments systematically
• Production PlanningAssist in daily and weekly production planning
• Coordinate with cutting, stitching, finishing, and warehouse departments
• Track production status and highlight delays or issues proactively
• Ensure production targets and delivery timelines are met
• ERP & Data ManagementPerform data entry and maintain records in ERP software
• Update BOMs, production status, stock movement, and order details
• Maintain accurate reports and production documentation
• Generate MIS reports and planning reports using Excel and ERP systems
• Coordination & CommunicationWork closely with production, warehouse, accounts, and management teams
• Ensure smooth communication between departments
• Follow up continuously to avoid delays and production gaps
• Required SkillsGood knowledge of garment merchandising and production processes
• Experience in ERP systems and production data management
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, Formulas, Reporting)
• Good communication and follow-up skills
• Strong planning and coordination ability
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple styles/orders
• Attention to detail and systematic working style
• Preferred QualificationsGraduate/Diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, or related field
• 2–5 years experience in apparel merchandising or production coordination
• Experience in woven garments preferred
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing workflow is mandatory
