Job Description

Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to oversee and manage the overall operational efficiency of the hospital. The role involves ensuring seamless coordination across clinical and non-clinical departments, improving patient experience, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing resources, and driving operational excellence.


The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, healthcare administration expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Management


* Lead and manage day-to-day hospital operations to ensure smooth functioning across all departments.

* Monitor patient flow, admissions, discharges, emergency operations, and bed management.

* Ensure operational efficiency and timely service delivery.


Quality & Patient Care


* Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and service quality.

* Implement and monitor quality assurance initiatives and accreditation standards (NABH/JCI preferred).

* Address patient grievances and ensure effective resolution mechanisms.


Team Leadership


* Supervise and guide operational, administrative, and support staff.

* Coordinate with medical, nursing, HR, finance, and facility teams for effective service delivery.

* Drive employee engagement, productivity, and performance management initiatives.


Compliance & Risk Management


* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, statutory requirements, safety norms, and hospital policies.

* Oversee infection control, biomedical waste management, and audit preparedness.

* Manage operational risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.


Financial & Resource Management


* Monitor operational budgets, cost control measures, and resource utilization.

* Improve operational productivity while maintaining quality standards.

* Support revenue optimization and operational planning initiatives.


Process Improvement


* Develop and implement SOPs, operational policies, and performance metrics.

* Identify areas for operational improvement and implement best practices.

* Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives within hospital operations.


Vendor & Facility Management


* Oversee facility management, maintenance, security, housekeeping, and vendor services.

* Ensure uninterrupted hospital support services and infrastructure management.



Required Qualifications


* Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field.

* 8–15 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare administration.

* Prior experience in managing multi-specialty hospital operations preferred.
