Operations & Facility Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Facility & Maintenance Management

· Oversee the upkeep of the entire hospital infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and medical gas pipelines.

· Implement a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule for all facility equipment to minimize downtime.

· Ensure the facility meets all fire safety, health, and building regulation standards.

2. Soft Services Leadership

· Housekeeping: Maintain impeccable hygiene and infection control standards across OTs, ICUs, patient rooms, and public areas.

· Security: Manage the security protocols, surveillance systems, and guard deployment to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

· Cafeteria & Laundry: Oversee outsourced or in-house services to ensure quality and compliance with health standards.

3. Workforce & Manpower Planning

· Attrition Management: Proactively manage staffing levels. You must have a network of vendors or a recruitment strategy to rapidly replace manpower in Housekeeping, Security, or Maintenance when turnover occurs.

· Roster management and performance evaluation for a large, multi-disciplinary team.

· Conduct training sessions on soft skills, safety protocols, and hospital etiquette.

4. Operational Efficiency & Compliance

· Monitor daily operational costs and manage the department budget effectively.

· Ensure compliance with NABH/JCI standards (or relevant local healthcare accreditation).

· Handle vendor contracts, renewals, and performance audits.
