Job Description
A picker packer works in warehouses or distribution centers, selecting, scanning, and packing customer orders for shipment. They are responsible for retrieving products based on orders, inspecting items for damage, labeling packages, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Locating and retrieving products from storage areas, shelves, or pallets based on digital lists or order slips.
- Order Packing: Preparing items for shipment by securely packing, wrapping, or boxing them to prevent damage.
- Inventory Management: Updating inventory systems, scanning barcodes, and reporting inventory shortages or discrepancies.
- Quality Control: Inspecting items for defects or damage before packing.
- Shipping Preparation: Labeling packages, palletizing items, and preparing them for courier pickup.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, organized, and adhering to safety protocols.
