Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

• Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations at the production line.
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet annual targets and delivery commitments.
• Monitor raw material usage, WIP, and finished goods to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Lead, mentor, and manage teams including supervisors, engineers (Degree/Diploma), technicians, and operators.
• Work closely with Quality Control Department to maintain product standards.
• Coordinate with Procurement Team for material availability.
• Drive process improvements, productivity enhancement, and cost optimization (material-focused).
• Ensure safety compliance aligned with guidelines from EHS Department.
• Track KPIs (yield, downtime, efficiency, rework, cycle time, OEE).
• Ensure machine and line maintenance coordination with the maintenance team.
• Implement lean manufacturing and automation initiatives where feasible.
• Maintain production reports, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years experience in manufacturing production management OR
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Instrumentation Engineering with experience 5+ years
• Desired Skills Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, shop-floor control, and production planning
• People management, decision-making, and leadership
• Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specs
• Experience in lean, 5S, Kaizen, automation
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Local candidates based in Karnataka Manufacturing Cluster preferred
• Work Environment Shop-floor, fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing line
• Requires hands-on involvement and cross-department coordination
