Job Description
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and smooth day‑to‑day operations of the store. They will lead the team, drive sales and profitability, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of merchandising and store hygiene.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Store Management
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, staff deployment, and floor management.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe, and compliant with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, product displays, and signage as per brand guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, coordinate with suppliers/warehouse, and ensure timely replenishment while controlling shrinkage.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive store sales to achieve monthly and annual targets, including add‑on and upsell initiatives.
- Track key performance metrics (footfall, conversion, ATV, UPT) and implement action plans to improve results.
- Handle escalated customer queries and complaints, ensuring quick and satisfactory resolution.
- Ensure every customer receives a warm welcome, prompt assistance, and a consistent brand experience.
Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise store staff (sales, cashiers, support).
- Set clear goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and coach team members for productivity and behavior.
- Conduct regular briefings on products, offers, SOPs, and customer service standards.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and high‑energy work environment.
Finance, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee billing, cash handling, daily cash/stock reconciliation, and deposit processes.
- Monitor expenses, control operational costs, and protect company assets.
- Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly sales and operations reports with management.
- Desired ProfileGraduate preferred with 3–6 years of retail experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or store‑in‑charge role.
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and improve store performance.
- Good understanding of retail KPIs, inventory management, and basic P&L concepts.
- Comfortable using POS systems and basic MS Office / reporting tools.
