Job Description

Field Sales Executive role focused on agro-commodities like grains and pulses, requiring 2 to 5 years of relevant FMCG experience.

Position: Field Sales Executive / Sales Officer (Grains & Pulses)

Experience: 2–5 Years, Industry: FMCG / Food & Beverage / Agro-commodities

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Sales Executive to manage and grow our market share in the Grains, Pulses, and Agro-commodities segment. You will be responsible for expanding our distributor network, driving sales volumes, and ensuring our agricultural products are widely available in the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Target Achievement

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual volume and value sales targets for all focus SKUs (grains, pulses, and allied commodities).
  • Drive primary and secondary sales through effective distributor and retail management

2. Distribution & Channel Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage new distributors, wholesalers, and modern trade partners.
  • Regularly review distributor performance, manage inventory stock, and ensure optimal stock rotation to prevent expiry or damage of commodities.  

3. Market Coverage & Expansion

  • Plan and execute daily market visits to retail outlets, grocery stores, and local markets to collect orders and ensure product visibility.
  • Implement Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to expand product reach into untapped areas. Credit & Outstanding Control
  • Manage commercial terms, negotiate credit limits with channel partners, and ensure timely payment collections.
  • Minimize outstanding dues and coordinate with the finance team to ensure seamless account reconciliations.

5. Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Submit daily/weekly sales reports, visit logs, and market feedback to the management team.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market demand for pulses and grains.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Agriculture background is a strong plus).
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven field sales experience in the FMCG or Food & Beverage sector, specifically handling agro-commodities like grains and pulses.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Other: A valid Driver’s License and two-wheeler are mandatory.
