Steward / Waiter / Order Taker
Job description:
We are looking for a diligent Steward / Waiter/ Order Taker to fulfil the responsibilities below at our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning and setting of tables.
Welcoming customers, seating them, giving them a menu, serving them water or refilling their glasses.
Taking orders from the customers and placing the orders in the system, guiding the customers with the best recommendations for food.
Getting the food & beverages delivered to the table on time as per their order.
Ensuring upselling and giving customers a great service and food experience.
Stocking up serving stations with napkins, utensils, trays and condiments, and assisting the wait staff with all aspects of service.
Clearing tables and preparing them for the next customers.
Assisting in cleaning and opening or closing tasks.
Scraping food from dirty dishes, pots, pans, plates, flatware, and glasses.
Assisting with deep cleaning of the restaurant and keeping the place neat and clean.
Assisting with the unloading and storing of stock.
Requirements:
Must be able to speak and read English very well.
Experienced in the restaurant industry for more than 2 years.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be in the age limit of 18 to 35 years.
A friendly, polite, and courteous nature and neatly groomed.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
The flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
