Job Overview
- Ideal for software engineers with any education qualification who can quickly understand existing systems and want to grow into modernization work.
- PATH is from VB6 to .NET (C#) Modernisation using Visual Studio 2022 and any one of the AI coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot / CodeWhisperer / AmazonQ / Codex). Training and time will be provided on AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and run the existing Visual Basic 6 [VB6] codebase, Crystal Reports.
- Document business logic, workflows, data flows, and technical debt clearly.
- Provide production support: troubleshooting, bug fixes, performance tuning, and maintenance.
- Drive or support modernization to .NET (C#) using Visual Studio 2022 and AI coding tools.
What We Are Looking For
- 2 or any number of years IT experience, hands-on with VB6 and Crystal Reports.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with any databases like MS-access, SQL Server, MYSQL or ORACLE.
- Interest or basic experience in .NET (C#), Visual Studio 2022, and AI-assisted coding tools will be an advantage.
- Strong willingness to learn anything that project or job demands.
- Good communication skills.
