Application Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience signing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and reliable web applications using Java, Spring Boot and Angular.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in building cloud service using cloud frameworks like Google Cloud or cloud computing platform.
Experience in enterprise software development.
Ability to understand how people interface with Web UI and drive user centered design.
Ability to work across the front-end design process including user research, UX/UI Design and front-end implementation.

You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. Responsibilities

Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
Build internal solutions, with custom front-end and back-end services with minimal assistance, and identify processes and solutions to ensure control compliance can be enforced and monitored.
Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google’s technology life-cycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
