• Primary skills:Technology->AS,400 technologies->AS400 hardware setup • Knowledge of more than one technology • Basics of Architecture and Design fundamentals • Knowledge of Testing tools • Knowledge of agile methodologies • Understanding of Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects • Understanding of one or more Estimation methodologies, Knowledge of Quality processes • Basics of business domain to understand the business requirements • Analytical abilities, Strong Technical Skills, Good communication skills • Good understanding of the technology and domain • Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of software quality assurance principles, SOLID design principles and modelling methods • Awareness of latest technologies and trends • Excellent problem solving, analytical and debugging skills Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery • Lead end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of AS400/iSeries applications. • Analyze, estimate, and plan AS400 development tasks aligned with project timelines and priorities. • Review code, enforce standards, and ensure high performance, security, and reliability of AS400 solutions. • Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. Solution Design & Collaboration • Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs on AS400. • Design and optimize batch jobs, interfaces, and integrations with surrounding systems. • Collaborate with QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments and stable environments.
