Associate Partner-Advisory-Finance Reporting as a Service
We are seeking an experienced Associate Partner to lead and scale a 500+ FTE Finance Reporting team supporting Financial Services clients under an As-a-Service model. The role demands deep expertise in FP&A, Risk and Management Reporting for global FS clients, strong executive presence, and the ability to drive operational excellence, transformation, and client relationship management at the C‑Suite level.
Leadership & Operations Management
•Lead and oversee a 500+ FTE Finance operations team delivering FP&A and Risk Reporting services to global Financial Services client./s•Ensure operational excellence through strong process controls, timely delivery, and error‑free execution.•Drive day‑to‑day operations, SLA adherence, and effective escalation management.•Effective financial management of all aspects of delivery to deliver services within expected cost framework and spendClient & Stakeholder Engagement
•Serve as the senior-most operational leader responsible for the client relationship.•Engage regularly with global Finance leadership, Business Heads, and C‑Suite stakeholders to drive performance, governance, and strategic priorities.•Act as a trusted advisor to the client on finance transformation and operating model enhancements.Transition & Transformation
•Lead end‑to‑end transitions of Finance processes, including discovery, knowledge transfer, stabilization, and steady state.•Support rebadging initiatives as required.•Drive process optimization through Lean principles, automation, and exploration of AI-driven use cases.
Governance & Risk Management
•Establish and run strong governance frameworks with daily/weekly/monthly dashboards, KPIs/SLA tracking, and risk controls.•Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
People & Talent Strategy
•Build and implement a Talent and Capability Development Strategy aligned with As-a-Service model needs.•Provide leadership development, mentoring, and succession planning for senior managers and delivery leaders.•Promote a culture of performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Business Development & Practice Growth
•Participate in client pitches, solution development, and joint go‑to‑market initiatives to help KPMG expand in the Finance Operations As-a-Service space.•Represent the practice in leadership forums and contribute to thought leadership.Educational qualifications
Candidate should have an MBA from recognized B-School or Professional qualification such as: CPA or CA. along with 17+ years of relevant work experience.
Work experience
Leadership in Regulatory & Management Reporting (Must‑Have)
•Extensive experience leading FP&A, Risk and Management Reporting functions for global Financial Services Client/s•Demonstrated experience managing these processes in an As-a-Service, managed services, or third‑party operations model.
Finance Transition & Migration Expertise
•Proven experience in transitioning Finance processes from a client environment to a third‑party vendor, including:•Service readiness•Process migration•Setting up TOM/operating models•Stabilization and scaling
Rebadging Experience (Preferred)
•Exposure to employee rebadging programs, including movement of client personnel to vendor payroll while managing risk, compliance, and communication protocols.
Executive Stakeholder Management
•Strong executive presence with experience engaging and influencing senior leaders, both with clients and internally, including Business Heads, CFO organization, and C‑Suite stakeholders.
Operations Leadership
•Hands‑on experience managing large-scale Finance operations (500+ FTEs).•Expertise in daily operations oversight, governance management, quality, risk and compliance responsibilities and escalation resolution.•Cost and people management running teams of highly performing services to clientsTalent Strategy & Workforce Management
•Experience building a Talent Strategy for large Finance operations, including hiring, upskilling, competency development, and succession planning in an As-a-Service environment.
Governance, Controls & Performance Management
•Ability to drive rigorous daily/weekly/monthly governance, monitor, manage and report out on SLAs/KPIs, and ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
•Experience implementing process standardization, automation, and AI/advanced analytics use cases to improve efficiency and accuracy across Finance reporting processes.
Business Development Experience
•Constantly seeking out opportunities to grow and expand depth and breadth of services to the client based on strong relationships and outstanding performance•Prior involvement in client pitches, solutioning, and Go-To-Market activities to support practice growth in the As-a-Service or managed services domain
