This position offers the opportunity to drive strategic transformation, strengthen regulatory compliance, and build high‑performing teams while partnering closely with key stakeholders to deliver a best‑in‑class client onboarding experience.

Job Summary

As a KYC Operations Manager – Vice President within Corporate and Investment Banking Markets, you will lead key transformation initiatives and oversee end‑to‑end KYC operations, ensuring effective client onboarding and regulatory renewals. You will manage teams, drive operational excellence, and partner with stakeholders to deliver a high‑quality, compliant, and efficient KYC experience across complex client segments including non‑bank financial institutions, private equity, and funds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Middle Office and business stakeholders to align KYC operations with growth plans and deliver a seamless client onboarding experience.
  • Plan and manage the KYC book of work, including prioritization, capacity planning, and workload allocation.
  • Deliver regulatory renewals within defined timelines through effective milestone tracking and escalation management.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with KYC Policy, Compliance, Quality, Technology, and Control teams to address challenges and remove roadblocks.
  • Drive high standards of record completion quality and ensure adherence to KYC policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage team leaders supporting KYC completions, ensuring productivity, quality, and consistency of delivery.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to develop high‑performing teams.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, particularly India KYC requirements, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute process improvements, supporting continuous KYC transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Promote a strong risk and control culture, ensuring timely escalation of issues and effective governance.
  • Act as a change champion to enhance operational delivery standards and drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Strong experience in financial services, investment banking, compliance, or consulting with deep exposure to KYC, AML, CDD, and EDD standards.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, including leading managers of individual contributors.
  • Strong client focus combined with a robust risk and control mindset.
  • Ability to manage complex and ambiguous situations and drive effective, scalable solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and seniority levels.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, flexible, and ownership‑driven approach.
  • Proven ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes within tight deadlines and high‑volume environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand strategic business implications.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel and presentation platforms for reporting and communication.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to transfer knowledge and collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience leading large‑scale KYC or compliance transformation initiatives.
  • Prior experience in managerial roles overseeing managers within KYC, AML, or compliance functions.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or similar frameworks.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Finance, Economics, or related discipline preferred).
  • Significant experience in banking or investment banking operations.
  • Proven people management experience in KYC, AML, or compliance environments.
