We are currently seeking a COBOL Consultant(Mainframe ZOS ) to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications on IBM Z/OS mainframe using COBOL.
• Work with IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS) or IBM Z tooling integrated with Visual Studio for development and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and maintain database components using DB2, including SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Perform unit testing, defect analysis, and production support activities.
• Utilize Git for source code management, branching, merging, and version control.
• Troubleshoot complex mainframe issues and ensure performance and reliability of applications.
• Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and compliance guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in COBOL application development.
• Strong working knowledge of IBM Z/OS mainframe systems.
• Experience with IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS) or IBM Z tools within Visual Studio.
• Proficiency in DB2, including SQL and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or enterprise Git solutions).
• Experience with JCL, IMS/VSAM (optional but good to have).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
