Azure Data Engineer Consultant / Assistant Manager

We are recruiting for Consultant/Assistant Manager profiles with the below responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Data Factory to ingest data from databases, files, APIs, and SaaS sources into Azure Data Lake and Synapse.

• Develop and implement data transformations using Synapse notebooks (PySpark/SQL) and ADF data flows.

• Work with Azure Data Lake Storage and Synapse notebooks to perform data cleansing and transformation activities.

• Apply strong SQL skills to design, test, and optimize queries for performance and accuracy.

• Collaborate with internal and onshore teams to deliver end‑to‑end, secure, stable, and cost‑effective data solutions on Azure.

• Define and implement client‑specific best practices for data management in an Azure cloud environment.

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

• Deliver high‑quality, client‑facing service while working with stakeholders across multiple geographies.

• Coordinate with team members to allocate and manage responsibilities and ensure project tasks are completed according to defined roles and functions.

Education / professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Accounting, or a related course of study from an accredited college/university

 

 

 

 

Skills:

• 4–7 years of overall industry experience, including 2+ years of deep technical experience with the Azure Data Engineering stack.

• Proven experience in Data Engineering, Data Migration, and Data Transformation projects.

• Hands‑on expertise with:

• Azure Data Factory (including Mapping Data Flows)

• Azure Data Lake

• Azure SQL

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure DevOps

• Strong background in database design and development, with advanced SQL proficiency and experience in query optimization/performance tuning. 

• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools, and engineering standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively in high‑pressure, deadline-driven environments. 

• Demonstrated ability to deliver on agile requirements and meet tight delivery timelines. 

• Preferred Experience (Good to Have): 

• Setting up and deploying CI/CD pipelines and managing code versioning using Azure DevOps.

• Infrastructure deployment using ARM templates.

Skills in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, C#, or experience in the Tax domain
