Controls Manager Vice President

Job Summary 

As a Control Management professional within the team, you support Fund Services Operations by enhancing the control environment and partnering with key stakeholders. You recognize operational risks, develop effective controls, and assist with remediation activities to ensure a robust framework. You are accountable for identifying and escalating issues, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with the Operations team for efficient resolution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify operational vulnerabilities and lead control design
  • Regularly evaluate control effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Manage and execute large-scale operations control management projects
  • Analyze operational risk data and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for transparent communication and successful outcomes
  • Coordinate control testing, audits, and regulatory reviews
  • Oversee updates to Compliance and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) processes
  • Ensure adherence to firm policies and regulatory requirements
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Support remediation efforts and drive operational excellence

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Hold a professional finance qualification with at least 15 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrate expertise in operational risk and control frameworks
  • Analyze complex business processes and apply advanced problem-solving abilities
  • Possess a strong risk mindset and communicate key risks effectively
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and automation tools for presentations and reporting
  • Manage stakeholders and collaborate with diverse, global teams
  • Drive project management, process re-engineering, and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 

  • Leverage experience in fund services, fund accounting, or investment banking operations
  • Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements for Securities Services
  • Present findings to senior management and critically assess business activities
  • Utilize automation tools such as Xceptor, Python, Tableau, and Alteryx
  • Support process improvement and efficiency initiatives
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development
  • Promote best practices and innovation across global teams
