In your role as “Downtime Minimized Maintenance Automation Owner”, you are enabling the delivery of robust, downtime optimized, and highly automated lifecycle management activities operated within GCO (Global Cloud Operations).

You will take ownership of integration scenarios and operational processes considering accelerated growth (RISE with SAP). Focus of your activities will be increasing automation area covering also all multi-cloud aspects (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform) with focus on High Availability solutions (HANA, Sybase ASE, Pacemaker Clusters) and integration scenarios along with stabilization improvements to help Operations to reduce manual effort, cost structure (lower TCO) and deliver faster services to our customers.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to cloud-like innovation, standardized provisioning, and maintenance activities for seamless customer experience
• Enhance lifecycle management procedures to reduce downtime by implementing effective failover strategies
• Drive innovation initiatives with a focus on developing and implementing AI-based solutions.
• Optimize and stabilize NetWeaver lifecycle management procedures in a pro-active way leveraging analytical tools and capabilities
• Covering multi-cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Structure and coordinate activities, action plans incl. requirements engineering, prioritization, and creating aligned timelines for deliverables
• Create and align test plans, support and perform testing/validation and roll-out activities
• Change Management tracking of technical topics via Jira
• Drive issue resolution utilizing the expert network
• Support technology-related projects in complex cloud environments
• Manage relationship between different stakeholder groups inside and outside GCO

What you bring:

• Experience in SAP BASIS skills, Database Administration (HANA, ASE, DB2) and system operations know-how, ideally in multi-cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience in High Availability (Replication) related topics (Failover, Takeover)
• Ideally hands-on experience on SPC (SAP Service Provider Cockpit)
• Demonstrated knowledge of and practical experience with AI technologies (e.g., SAP Joule)
• Professional experience in Cloud infrastructure, system administration or as a technical consultant in SAP cloud implementation
• Best practices experience in an SAP application / technology / solution (NetWeaver)
• Knowledge in the design and structuring of integrated E2E Lifecycle Management Procedures
• Project Management Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness and experience working in international teams
• Good understanding of and SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.
