Position Overview:

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking to hire Experienced Software Engineer – UI UX Designer for Boeing India Software Engineering (BISE) to join their team in Bengaluru, India. These positions will focus on supporting the Software Utilities organization. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Architect to implement technical solution helping to enable the business unit to meet their organizational goals

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the UX strategy for the design system for software products
• Lead the development of high-quality and consistent design artifacts for assigned initiatives to support the product lifecycle, including but not limited to high-fidelity mockups using Figma to deliver design implementation specifications.
• Collaborate with product managers and human factors in engagement with the customers to define product requirements, user-centered interface patterns, and detailed interaction models to communicate desired product workflow.
• Collaborate with the product managers to ensure that the final users experience meets expectations and aligns with product requirements and value proposition.
• Support the development and continued refinement of the Product Roadmap based on user feedback and customer prioritization.
• Collaborate with human factors, autonomy, and airspace integration engineers to incorporate human factors principles into the design, turn low-fidelity wireframes into high-fidelity designs that lead to successful handoffs to the software team, and support the development of research interfaces to test prototype functionality.
• Guide the evolution and documentation of the SkyGrid design system, including tokens, shared components, and usage standards.
• Provide mentorship and collaboration support to junior designers and contribute to a healthy culture within a cross-functional team.
• Advocate for the user throughout the design and development process
• Stay updated on UI design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, actively seeking opportunities for professional development and growth.

Basic Qualification:

• Professional UX/UI design
• Excellent proficiency with Figma and conducting UI handoffs with software engineers.
• BS in Human Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or related disciplines
• 3+ years‚ experience in frontend implementation such as CSS, HTML JavaScript
• Experience working with engineers on release features and products
• Highly motivated to build innovative products
• Ability to conduct user study sessions with customers
• Proficient in industry-standard design and prototyping such as Adobe Creative Suite Visual Design software (Illustrator, XD, Photoshop or equivalent design software)
• Strong understanding of the design process, design methods and design principles
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience developing graphical user interfaces for aviation applications.
• Working knowledge of human factors principles as applied to the design of aviation user interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, or related field, or equivalent experience, is required
• Portfolio demonstrating research projects, methodologies employed, and impact of findings on product decisions
• Candidates with experience in Aviation domain will be preferred
• Experience working in a global organization is preferred
• Candidates with relevant certification would be preferred
• Candidates with Aviation related application development background would be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in SAFe Agile methodologies would be preferred

Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8-12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 7-11 years' related work experience.) preferred, but not required.
