General Ledger Analyst

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated General Ledger Analyst to join our finance team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end activities, and balance sheet analysis while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and service level agreements. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end journal entries and other deliverables as per SLA.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure account reconciliations are completed in line with SOPs.
  • Support month-end close activities and ensure timely completion of accrual entries.
  • Manage SLA deliverables related to finance operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in General Accounting processes and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of accounting principles and finance processes.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP applications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention t detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
