Responsibilities: 

 

• Strong expertise with GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Dataform, GCS, and cloud functions.  

• Implement data governance with Dataplex, security, and logging best practices to ensure compliance and data privacy. 
  Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. 

• Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes on BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and other GCP storage solutions. 

• Implement data integration, ingestion, and transformation workflows to support analytics and machine learning initiatives. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions. 

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Pyspark and SQL. 

Mandatory skill sets: 

 

• GCP Data Services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, Cloud Storage, Data Catalog, Cloud Composer 
  • Data Engineering & Data Architecture 
  • Data Governance Frameworks: lineage, metadata management, data quality, security controls 
  • Data Mesh architecture and domain-driven design 
  • ETL/ELT development (DBT) and databases like Snowflake 
  • Programming: SQL, Python and/or Java 
  • Orchestration: Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer 
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform / Deployment Manager 
  • DevOps & CI/CD practices for data workflows 

Preferred skill sets: 

 

• Dataplex.
