Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Jira administration, automation, and scripting. The role involves managing and optimizing the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira and Confluence), configuring workflows and permissions, automating processes using ScriptRunner (Groovy), and building integrations using REST APIs to support enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

· Administer and manage Jira including projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and field configurations.

· Configure and maintain Scrum/Kanban boards, dashboards, and reports using JQL and reporting tools like EazyBI.

· Implement automation and advanced scripting using ScriptRunner (Groovy).

· Manage user access and permissions using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

· Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and connectors.

· Support system upgrades, maintenance, and migrations (Server/Data Center to Cloud).

· Standardize Jira configurations, enforce best practices, and maintain system governance.

· Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Jira solutions.

· Required Skills

· 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Jira Administration in enterprise environments.

· Strong experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting.

· Experience with Jira REST APIs, integrations, and automation.

· Good understanding of Jira workflows, permissions, schemes, and configurations.

· Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum / Kanban).

· Basic knowledge of SQL and Linux is a plus.

· Atlassian certifications (ACP) are good to have.

Mandatory skill sets: 

 

• Expertise in Selenium with any programming language (Cypress, Java, Python, C#, Java script) 

• - Logical programming and debugging skills.  

• - Automation framework development/enhancement experience is a must. 

• - Experience in robot framework is a plus. 

• - Experience in a fast-paced agile environment. 

• - Good interpersonal and communication skills 

• - Good debugging skills and an ability to identify issues quickly and effectively 

• - Experience in developing automation framework for testing Restful web services 

• - Experience in Jenkins, configuring jobs, executing TestNG test cases from Jenkins 

• - Good Understanding about Data structure and algorithms 

• - Good knowledge on Relational Database/SQL Queries 

• - Worked on Manual functional/regression/integration testing 

• - Strong understanding of APIs and experience of automating APIs 

 

• Logs/monitoring: browser dev tools, Kibana/CloudWatch (nice-to-have).  

 

 

Preferred skill sets: 

 

• Java, Selenium, Python, C#, Java script, Robot framework
