Position Summary...

The Network Engineer II plays a key role in implementing, operating, and maintaining secure network infrastructures aligned with established architectures, business objectives, and industry standards. This role focuses on translating requirements and architectural designs into reliable network implementations, supporting performance, availability, and security through monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
Working closely with senior engineers and architects, the Network Engineer II contributes to design efforts, supports incident resolution, and helps maintain the resilience and integrity of the network environment while following defined standards, policies, and best practices.

About the Team

This specialized team supports dedicated networks and platforms that enable VIZIO operations across multiple geographic sites, working collaboratively to maintain stable, secure, and scalable connectivity.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor network performance using established tools and metrics to help maintain availability, reliability, and service expectations.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, following documented procedures and escalation paths to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Assist with the implementation and rollout of network designs, including support for the India IDC VIZIO offices.
• Collaborate with Network Engineers and Architects to support a resilient wide area network spanning India, North America, and multi-cloud environments.

What You’ll Bring

• Working knowledge of network design concepts, including interpreting architectural blueprints and implementing routing, addressing, and security configurations.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and alerting tools to support performance, reliability, and SLA compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and escalate effectively when needed.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, or configuration standards used to support operational consistency and security controls.
• Experience supporting Meraki wireless and switching environments.
• Experience configuring site-to-site and remote-access VPNs (for example, Global Protect).
• Experience working with firewall configurations, including security policies, Network Address Translation (NAT), and policy-based forwarding.
• Exposure to enterprise MPLS environments and internet circuit provisioning.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards (single-mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, CAT6, etc.).

Experience supporting IP address management and DNS platforms such as Infoblox.
