Job Summary
Synechron is looking for an experienced and dynamic Java Developer to lead our development team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level Java applications and systems, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and innovation. The successful candidate will drive technical excellence, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the organization’s strategic goals by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet complex business requirements.
Software Requirements
Required:
Java (latest stable version, Java SE and Java EE)
Frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, Struts
Development tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans
Databases: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
Preferred:
Version control: Git, Bitbucket
Build tools: Maven, Jenkins
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
Overall Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of Java developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Analyze business and technical requirements to design effective Java-based applications.
Develop, test, and deploy robust enterprise applications aligned with organizational standards.
Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to ensure system stability.
Stay current with technological advancements in Java and related tools, recommending enhancements as appropriate.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages:
Required: Java (Java SE, Java EE)
Preferred: Additional languages such as JavaScript or Python for integrations and scripting
Databases/Data Management:
Required: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
Preferred: NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) for specialized use cases
Cloud Technologies:
Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and scalability
Frameworks and Libraries:
Required: Spring, Hibernate, Struts
Preferred: Testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito
Development Tools and Methodologies:
Required: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans, Git, Maven, Jenkins

Experience Requirements
At least 7 years of professional experience in Java application development.
Proven track record leading development teams and delivering enterprise-scale Java solutions.
Extensive experience working with Java frameworks and integrated development environments.
Solid understanding of database architecture, design, and management.
Experience in cloud deployment and microservices architecture is advantageous.
Candidates with equivalent experience demonstrating leadership and technical expertise will also be considered.
Day-to-Day Activities
Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure project progress.
Manage team assignments, review code quality, and foster best practices.
Design and develop new features and enhancements for enterprise Java applications.
Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to align development efforts with business objectives.
Maintain documentation of system architecture, design decisions, and technical procedures.
Stay informed about emerging Java technologies and incorporate them into ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Advanced Java certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE 11 Developer) are preferred.
Commitment to continuous professional development through relevant courses, certifications, or workshops.
Experience working in large, enterprise-level environments with complex systems management.
