KGS - Resource Management - Consultant - Bangalore
The Consultant – Resource Management will be a key member of the Advisory Resource Management team and will be responsible for end‑to‑end workforce planning, deployment support, reporting, analytics, and stakeholder management.
The role requires strong analytical capability, advanced MS Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore stakeholders. The Consultant will work under guidance of the Assistant Manager / Manager and is expected to independently manage assigned responsibilities with high accuracy and professionalism.
Resource Management & Demand Fulfilment
- Track and plan fulfillment of business resource requirements within agreed timelines.
- Perform bench management, utilization tracking, and availability analysis.
- Allocation of Resources on the tools, updating schedules, leaves, project details, etc.
- Manage schedule of resources and ensure efficient roll-off planning to minimize bench time.
- Resolve staffing conflicts, highlight challenges proactively to RM leads and business leads to minimize disruption and maintain business continuity.
- Work closely with Resource Managers and stakeholders to support open requirements and workforce planning activities.
- Support day‑to‑day RM operations through data analysis, coordination, and timely follow‑ups.
MIS Analysis, Business Insights and RM Data Management
- Leverage existing MIS reports (daily / weekly / monthly) to perform detailed analysis.
- Analyze utilization, demand vs. supply, forecast vs. actuals, and other RM metrics to identify trends, risks, and exceptions.
- Perform variance analysis and highlight key observations to support informed decision‑making.
- Provide analytical inputs and insights for business reviews and ad‑hoc leadership requests.
- Maintain updated repository of resumes, skillsets and profiles to share with business teams as needed.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with business, delivery, and support teams to ensure timely availability and accuracy of data.
- Respond promptly to emails, queries, and data requests from stakeholders.
- Support reporting managers in preparing inputs for management discussions and reviews.
Team & Operational Support
- Support the RM team in meeting defined KPIs and SLAs through timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by demonstrating ownership, reliability, and a proactive mindset.
- Adhere to established RM processes, data governance standards, and confidentiality requirements.
The Individual – Skills & Capabilities
Mandatory Skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, lookups, IF/ELSE logic, data validation, and summary analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and convert it into meaningful insights.
- High level of accuracy, diligence, and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to workforce management or resource management concepts in a professional services environment.
- Exposure to workforce management / scheduling tools (e.g., IEX, Blue Pumpkin, ASPECT / EWFM, Certinia, Profinda or similar).
- Ability to work with large datasets and understand relationships between different data points.
- Understanding of utilization, forecasting, and capacity planning metrics.
Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Resource Management, MIS reporting, workforce analytics, or operational analytics roles.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (BBA / BCom / BA / BSc / BCA / BE).
- Post‑graduate qualification (MBA / MCom or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Reasonable awareness of enterprise systems, reporting tools, and professional services environments.
