Lead Analyst, FP&A
P40 – Lead Analyst, FP&A
India COE | CXO / Consulting
Role Overview
The Lead Analyst (P40) provides advanced FP&A support for a consulting‑led CXO organization, driving financial planning, forecasting, and decision support through data‑driven insights and strong business partnership. This role operates with high autonomy, leads complex analysis, and influences senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Own annual/quarterly budgets and weekly/monthly forecasts
- Drive in‑quarter outlook consolidation with strong predictability across headcount, utilization, and spend
- Identify and clearly communicate key risks, opportunities, and variances
Consulting & Services Economics
Own and analyze core professional services metrics, including:
- Revenue & Pricing (realization, rate cards)
- Utilization & Capacity (billable utilization, bench, demand vs. supply)
- Project Profitability (project margin, overruns, write‑offs)
- Pipeline & Sales Efficiency (pipeline coverage, backlog, attach rates)
- Resource Dynamics (cost per consultant, leverage, pyramid health)
- Delivery Efficiency & Quality (on‑time delivery, burn analysis)
- Strategic FP&A (scenario modeling, what‑if analysis)
Analysis, Reporting & Partnership
- Deliver executive‑ready reporting, including outlook and controller’s letter inputs
- Partner with finance, sales, and delivery leaders to understand drivers, challenge assumptions, and improve forecast accuracy
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Tools, Controls & Process Excellence
- Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI / Tableau; support planning in Anaplan
- Prepare journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and support charge‑outs
- Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes and frameworks
Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of FP&A or related finance experience, with strong exposure to consulting or project‑based business models
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- MBA / CPA / Chartered Accountant preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑influencing skills
- Advanced Excel required; experience with Tableau, Anaplan, MS Dynamics, SAP, TM1 preferred

- Sets standards for analytical rigor and financial discipline
