Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 5 years of experience leading the machine learning (ML) design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in quality domain, technologies related to training and deploying ML models at Google scale.
• Ability to drive user impact for large-scale consumer products through content selection, signal and feature understanding and training.

In this role, one of your responsibilities would be ranking of widget. You will set multi-quarter and multi-year roadmap for this, optimising ranking through identifying and injecting new signals, build ranking strategies by training curves or feature based models and adding product heuristics as needed to ensure variety and content quality. You will work with quality experts in search notifications and discover teams who assign with similar problem spaces. You will own and build AI models, tune features, signals with goal to improve overall interactions and drive visits to search (P0 for Google).The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful.
