About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
• Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
• Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
• Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
• Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
• Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
• Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
• Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
• Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• Interact with customer and vendor

Required Qualifications/Skills, International:

• 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise email and messaging engineering
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and hybrid Exchange architectures
• Deep experience with SMTP backbone engineering and mail routing concepts
• Hands‑on experience with Proofpoint (mandatory)
• Experience operating secure email platforms, including gateways and encryption solutions
• Strong understanding of:
  • SMTP, DNS, LDAP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
• Mail routing and policy engines
• Knowledge on Defender for Office 365 and KQL for Advance Hunting for Emails
• Hands‑on experience using Microsoft Graph Mail APIs
• Experience with SMTP, Milters, Sendmail, Postfix, openldap, Sentrion MTAs, Zix Gateways.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including:

IPv4 / IPv6, TCP / UDP, NAT, PAT, ACLs, VLANs

Job Expectations:

• Proven experience with platform lifecycle management (patching, upgrades, capacity planning, decommissioning)
• Strong incident, problem, and change management experience (ITIL‑aligned)
• Experience providing Level 4 escalation support in production environments
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and operational efficiency
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) skills
• Excellent communication skills for technical and leadership audiences
• Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, compliance, and application teams
• Knowledge of perl, python, shell scripting
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience working in large, regulated enterprise environments
