Job Description: Cloud & Data/AI Presales Specialist – KPMG Global Services

The Presales Cloud & Data/AI Specialist will work directly with pursuit teams to develop compelling, differentiated, and brand-compliant proposals, while supporting the growth of both Cloud and Data & AI capabilities across engagements.

Work you’ll do:

As a Presales Cloud & Data/AI Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the KPMG UK Sales and Consulting teams, supporting pursuit opportunities across Cloud as well as Data & AI service lines. The role focuses on enhancing the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of presales deliverables while strengthening capability assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development & Pursuits

• Support proposal development, RFx responses, and other pursuit activities across Cloud and Data & AI domains
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing collateral and develop high-quality proposal drafts
• Create compelling, client-centric narratives aligned to business outcomes and transformation journeys

 

Cloud, Data & AI Solutioning

• Demonstrate strong knowledge across: 
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle, VMware
  • Data & AI Areas: Data Strategy, Data Transformation, Data Engineering, Data Modernization, Advanced Analytics, AI & ML, and Agentic AI
• Support solutioning across: 
  • Cloud Strategy, Migration, Cloud Native, APIs & Integrations
  • Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance frameworks
  • Modern Data Platforms (Lakehouse, Data Fabric, Data Mesh)
  • AI Strategy, Responsible AI, and AI at Scale implementations
• Contribute to RFx solutioning for: 
  • Cloud Architecture, DevOps, Automation, Networking, Landing Zones
  • Data Engineering pipelines, data migration, and modernization programs
  • AI/ML use cases, GenAI solutions, and Agentic AI frameworks

 

Business Case & Thought Leadership

• Develop content for: 
  • Cloud and Data & AI business cases (ROI, TCO, cost optimization)
  • Enterprise-wide transformation strategies (Cloud + Data + AI)
  • Migration and modernization roadmaps
• Build point-of-view (PoVs) on: 
  • Cloud-first and AI-first enterprises
  • Data-driven transformation and intelligent automation
  • End-to-end AI-enabled and integrated digital ecosystems

 

Content & Knowledge Management

• Research internal/external sources and consolidate reusable content across Cloud and Data & AI offerings
• Maintain and enhance knowledge repositories including: 
  • Practitioner profiles, credentials, case studies, and solution accelerators
• Continuously improve sales collateral across industries and practices

 

Governance & Coordination

• Manage RFx lifecycle activities: 
  • Develop response trackers, templates, and collaboration workspaces
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to track progress against milestones
• Ensure content quality, compliance, and alignment with RFP requirements

 

Transformation & Advisory Capabilities

• Strong understanding of: 
  • Cloud & Data transformation strategies
  • IT and Digital transformation
  • Cloud suitability, readiness, and discovery assessments
  • Data platform modernization and legacy transformation
• Experience in: 
  • Costing, pricing, and commercial modeling for Cloud and Data/AI programs

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work collaboratively in an onshore-offshore delivery model with architects, consultants, and SMEs
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across sales, consulting, and leadership teams
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance integration and efficiency across teams

 

Operational Excellence

• Manage multiple concurrent pursuits with competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Drive continuous improvement based on feedback and insights
• Ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with latest market trends

 

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in Cloud and/or Data & AI presales, solutioning, and proposal development
• Strong expertise in: 
  • Cloud Architecture, Migration, and Modernization
  • Data Strategy, Data Engineering, and Data Platform Modernization
  • AI/ML, GenAI, and emerging paradigms like Agentic AI
• Good understanding of: 
  • Application modernization and portfolio assessment
  • Enterprise architecture and integration patterns
• Strong business acumen (financials, margins, profitability)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
• Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable mindset with ability to work independently

 

Good to Have:

• Experience in: 
  • End-to-end Cloud + Data + AI transformation programs
  • Migration tools, data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
  • AI/GenAI solution frameworks and enterprise-scale deployments
