Job Description:
What You'll Do
Business & Presales Leadership
- Lead overall presales operations within the assigned region or area of responsibility.
- Translate business goals into actionable presales resource and utilization plans.
- Proactively identify and address presales coverage gaps to support business growth.
- Partner with Sales teams on account planning, pipeline reviews, and deal strategy.
- Ensure effective allocation of presales resources across strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate across functions to represent field requirements and influence business decisions and product direction.
Business Management & Strategy
- Monitor, improve, and optimize presales operations and organizational performance.
- Drive alignment between presales activities and company business objectives.
- Apply business, financial, and market knowledge to support customer engagements and business decisions.
- Develop and present business recommendations and value-based solution strategies.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor Presales/Solutions Engineering teams.
- Manage employee performance, including development of high performers and timely handling of performance issues.
- Build and execute workforce planning, succession planning, and skill development initiatives.
- Foster collaboration, innovation, and change management across distributed teams.
- Ensure the team maintains strong technical and consultative selling capabilities.
Strategic Customer Engagement & Selling
- Support key enterprise accounts and complex strategic opportunities.
- Articulate the company's technology vision and business value to customers and executives.
- Coach teams on consultative selling methodologies and opportunity advancement.
- Position solutions against competitors and establish the company as a strategic partner.
- Guide teams in developing ROI-driven business cases and value propositions.
What You Need to Bring
Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10–12+ years of experience in Sales, Presales, Solutions Engineering, or related customer-facing roles.
- Proven people management experience leading presales or technical sales teams.
- Demonstrated success supporting strategic sales initiatives and complex enterprise opportunities.
- Experience managing resources, utilization, and cross-functional business objectives.
Business & Leadership Skills
- Strong business management and operational planning capabilities.
- Experience with strategic planning, execution, forecasting, and budget management.
- Ability to manage complex business processes and resource allocation.
- Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills.
- Experience in workforce planning, career development, and organizational growth.
Sales & Customer Engagement Skills
- Strong consultative and solution-selling expertise.
- Experience supporting strategic enterprise accounts and executive-level engagements.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong business case development and value-selling capabilities.
Strategic & Change Management Skills
- Ability to drive innovation, transformation, and organizational change.
- Strong decision-making and cross-functional collaboration skills.
