Job Title: Manager - Fixed Assets & Controllership

Role Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting, book closing

  • Work closely with Supply Finance Controlling team and Business finance capex team tracking the business transaction and assessing the impact on financial accounting.
  • Execute month/quarter/year end closing schedule, work on check list for closing activities and ensure adherence by shared service team and internal finance teams.
  • Work on Fixed Assets accounting, end to end from tracking CWIP, its provisioning policy, to testing of impairment of assets at every reporting period end, to Financial Statement Notes preparation and presentation.
  • Getting the process of Physical Verification of assets process done annually and taking the approvals as per SOA for write offs if any.
  • Work on monthly Ind AS 116 Leases accounting of third-party operation/Sales offices leases and closing the queries of auditors (Internal and External).
  • Preparation of ROU and Lease liabilities notes on quarterly basis.
  • Connect with Business team every month for any changes in the lease arrangement impacting the lease accounting and updating the same in Ind AS and IFRS books.
  • Connect with legal on areas relating to title deeds of L&B, assessing the implication on reporting, including CARO reporting.
  • Work on global reporting related to FA and leases submission during monthly closing and hard close closing including submission of detailed schedules as per requisite format.
  • Work on provisioning of Vendor advances, Security Deposits, Fixed Deposit, other financial assets etc. and track whether the provisions created are as per policy.

Audit and Reporting

  • Co-ordinate with auditor and closure of queries on time.
  • Facilitate audit readiness and responses to audit observations.
  • Dealing with internal auditors for financial controls and with statutory auditors (Big 4) for closure of quarter and year end audits.
  • Preparation and Reporting of MSME half yearly return, DPT-3 return and submission to CS team for filling post Controller’s approval.

Balance Sheet Reviews

  • Performing overall BS review on quarterly basis for variance analysis with YTD comparison and getting it reviewed with finance controller before submitting it to auditors.
  • In depth analysis of PPE, Investment Property, CWIP, Leases, MSME and Non MSME Trade Payables, Security Deposit, Fixed Deposit and any other areas etc.

Processes automation and central support

  • Support annual report preparation of the company.
  • Execute automation in reporting vertical- Consolidation tool, SAP HANA implementation.
  • Support Global team, local FP&A and IR teams with required data for management commentary.

Experience / skills required:

Profile of candidate

Chartered accountant (CA) with 2-4 Years of work experience

Must have

  • Prior statutory reporting controlling and reporting experience preferably from consumer sector
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Ind As 116
  • Experience of dealing with Statutory, Internal and group auditors (Big 4)

Good to have

  • SAP and accounting software implementation experience
  • Prior experience on MSME reporting, Fixed Asset Accounting preferred.
  • Exposure of working with and influencing multiple stakeholders
  • Clear communication and attitude to support business and solve complex accounting issues.
